This painting represents and celebrates the architecture of surfing - the waves. The circle was chosen to specifically depict the barrel shape that many surfers ride through. Adapting my multi-circle design to a mini size, this painting focuses on just one circle - just one wave.
The Varsity Collection brings together a vintage sports aesthetic and contemporary art. Inspired by my own letterman jacket, as well as the on-going theme of blue in sports, this collection is an entirely monochromatic body of work.
