“Hangin’ On” is my latest original painting, inspired by the clothesline that once stood in the backyard of my friend’s house in Beach Haven, NJ. The clothesline was always apart of our beach day routine - hanging up our suits after a full day of boogie boarding, paddle ball, and running bases at the beach. One of my favorites parts about this painting is the texture. I love painting in multiple layers and using thicker paint. You can see some texture of where I adjusted the painting along the way, almost like you can see all the memories and stories held by the clothesline.
