Hangin' On
“Hangin’ On” is an original acrylic painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. This painting was inspired by the clothesline my friends’ had at their beach house on LBI. To me, the clothesline represents nostalgia for long summer days and spending that time surrounded by good company. Meant to appear like the shadow of a bikini hanging on a clothesline, I created this piece in a more abstract style with brighter colors.
I love painting with thicker paint because of the texture it adds to each piece. It’s almost like you can see some of the painting’s story hiding underneath.
