Like the rows and steps in a stadium, each square in this piece is layered on top of the ones below, building to the center where the eyes are drawn. Growing up, I always loved the feeling of being in the stands at a sports game, feeling like part of the crowd and enjoying the community of it all. The title, DAPHNE, was picked after daphne blue, to celebrate the beautiful blue shades in this painting.
