Original painting, BIG LEAGUES, from The Geometric Series. This piece draws inspiration from the swimming pool. The lines on the bottom of the pool act as a guide for swimmers during competition, and a place to keep their eyes. As I work to grow my art practice, this line serves as a reminder to stay in my own lane, follow my own path, and block out outside noise. As this is the largest painting I created in this style, I felt the title, BIG LEAGUES, was fitting. The title also nods to working towards my goals. With this painting, I get closer to reaching my artist goals and “making it big.”
