THE COLORBLOCK COLLECTION
The Colorblock Collection is a celebration of the simple shapes found in life. This collection is my two-toned abstract interpretations of shadows, spots, shapes, and linework. As a lover of the coast and all things water, it’s no surprise that the first two pieces in this collection were inspired by coastal themes, specifically bikinis.
Hangin’ OnThis piece draws inspiration from days at the Jersey Shore. The clothesline that once stood in my friends’ backyard in Beach Haven was a place where our swimsuits dried after sandy days playing running bases and boogie boarding. My favorite part of this painting is its texture. This piece is built on layers of heavy body acrylic paint. The surface shows spots where adjustments were made, carrying the stories and memories just like the clothesline.

Wet SuitLike most of my work, this piece celebrates simple shapes and linework. As my abstract interpretation of the wet spot a bikini leaves on a towel, this piece is a reminder of a warm day spent by the water. Think of jumping out of the pool or ocean and heading over to lay on your warm towel and dry off in the sun.
