HANGIN’ ON

Original painting, Hangin’ On, from The Bikini Collection. This piece draws inspiration from days at the Jersey Shore. The clothesline that once stood in my friends’ backyard in Beach Haven was a place where our swimsuits dried after sandy days playing running bases and boogie boarding. My favorite part of this painting is its texture. This piece is built on layers of heavy body acrylic paint. The surface shows spots where adjustments were made, carrying the stories and memories just like the clothesline.
