NOT YOUR AVERAGE SURF COLLECTION

The Big Wave Collection started out as a surf-only collection. Wanting to expand my surf offerings and have a summer collection (although it launched in September), surfing felt like the perfect next sport. I studied the anatomy of a wave and played around with a bunch of shapes and configurations before landing on the repeating circles. I had already created a mood board months ago prior to deciding on the sport, so colors were easy to choose. 

But then, I had ideas for swim and track pieces with this color palette too. And I thought why stick to just one sport when I did multiple sports in my previous collections (I make the rules around here!). And thus, the Big Wave collection expanded. 

I pulled color and vibe inspiration from some of the most famous surf destinations that I’ve been able to travel to (no, I don’t surf sadly - but I did take one lesson and was able to stand up so I’ll take it) including, Hawaii, California, and Sydney. Think vintage surf vibes mixed with contemporary art and a few other sports. Like I said, not your average surf collection.
