Welcome to Behind the Brush! My goal for this blog is to take you along the process of creating each piece of artwork. From prep and planning to painting and gathering content, there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes to get things created and ready to sell. I’m aiming to post once a month and do a complete deep dive into a past project.

I’ve always loved seeing how musicians come up with song lyrics and melodies, how artist choose to tackle paintings, how designers put together collections, and beyond. I find it so interesting to see how creatives think, so I wanted to start sharing my thoughts and processes.

As a small, independent artist, I ask for a small purchase of $5 to read my deep dives. This purchase goes directly towards supporting my business, creating future projects, and keeping my “doors” open.
